Information We Collect
Payment Information
When you purchase a DataRescue license, we collect:
- M-Pesa phone number (for payment processing)
- Email address (for license key delivery)
- Transaction ID (for payment verification)
- Purchase date and amount
Payment processing is handled securely by Flutterwave. We do not store your M-Pesa PIN or financial credentials.
License Activation Data
When you activate your license, we collect:
- License key
- Device identifier (hashed, non-reversible)
- Operating system type (Windows, macOS, Linux)
- Activation timestamp
This information is used solely to prevent license abuse and ensure you can use DataRescue on your authorized device.
